Getting there

Localisation of the La Croix Montoire Castle and coming by car

access

The center of conferences is located in the Parc of La Croix Montoire, by the northern bank of the Loire River just across Wilson's bridge (see the opposite map, mark B). Coming by car, the most convenient is to take the exit Tours Centre n° 21 and take the Avenue Georges Pompidou, then at the first roundabout turn left on Avenue A. Malraux to Place Anatole France, then turn right and take the Wilson's bridge.

Coming by train

Most of the attendants to the school will come by train. There are two railways stations where you can stop: Tours railways station (downtown) and Saint-Pierre-des-Corps railways station which is the biggest one (3km from Tours).
There are two kinds of trains : the regular ones ( less expensive but quite slow) and direct trains called TGV ( Train Grande Vitesse i.e. very fast train). For example, from the Charles de Gaulle's Airport(Paris) to Tours, it will take one and a half hour by TGV and probably twice this time by regular ones. You can look to the time tables on the website of the French national Railways company (SNCF) and you can also book your tickets there (see link below).
If you come by TGV, you may arrive at the Saint-Pierre des Corps train station. In that case, you shall take a shuttle train to TOURS Centre ( For each TGV stopping only in Saint-Pierre des Corps, a shuttle will be waiting for commuters).

From the Tours railways station to La Croix Montoire

From Tours railways station (downtown) to the Croix Montoire Castle : Take Bus number 1A (going to Europarc) or 1B (going to Doué-Lycée Choiseul) or 7( Ste Radegonde) or 21(Pole Santé Alliance) at Bus stop Jean Jaurès Heurteloup (see map here ).
Whatever the bus you take, you shall get off at Bus stop : "Place Choiseul".
This will take 10 to 15 minutes. Here are some Time tables: Bus number 1 , Bus number 7, Bus number 21.

At Place Choiseul, you will find  a green gate ( portal) . The interphone is not working anymore . There is a digicode

: juste type  1202  to enter . Or call us ....

Flying from abroad

Tours’s airport has a daily flight from London operated by Ryanair (London – Stansted airport). Otherwise you flight will arrived at Charles de Gaulle's Airport (Roissy), From there you can rent a car and drive to Tours( 2h30 when traffic is clear) or take the TGV at the airport or in Paris (Gare Montparnasse). Depending on the terminal of your arrival, you will have to take RoissyVal metro ( automatic metro working 7days a week and 24h a day) or a bus shuttle to the Railway Station ROISSY TGV to catch a TGV to Saint Pierre des Corps. If you land at the second Paris Airport, Orly's airport, take the Orlyval metro to reach the Massy TGV train station. Look at the previous paragraph to see what to do when arriving in TOURS by train.
